Can't find video adapter

Hello Jussi, I have one small problem and that is, when I first start the computer, of course I wait a while for everything to load, I start the game, but it tells me that the selected video adapter could not be found. Start the DSJ 4 installation. So I go to the settings and under Vertical Sync I switch it to off and back to on and ok, after which the game starts normally and as long as the computer is turned on, the game will start normally. It was fine for two days, but today I had to repeat the process again. Do you know what the problem is?

The identifier for the video card is probably changing when the drivers are updated and the game won't therefore know which to use.
The solution is to run Setup.exe again in these cases.

Thank you very much for the answer, although I understand that it means reinstalling the game, but if the drivers are updated almost every day, it won't help, otherwise I don't understand why they would be updated so often. Today the game started normally for me, so I'll see how it goes in the future. But I would like you to explain to me what this is, restarting the Setup.exe file.

No need to re-install. Just run DSJ4 Setup separately from the old installation.

I do this every time this error occurs, which is almost every time I start my computer, and I would like it to always start, but I don't know what else I could do. Since May, when I got my new computer, I always have to run the DSJ4 setup first before I can launch the game. On this computer, I have an AMD Radeon graphics card, and I believe the problem is related to this type of graphics card.

I also have a laptop with two graphics cards – Intel and AMD Radeon. On the Intel graphics card, the game always launches without problems, but it often stutters. Yesterday, I tried setting the game to run on the Radeon, but it didn’t work – I got the same error: “video adapter not found.” Even when I run the setup, the game still won’t start on the Radeon, so I had to switch back to the Intel card.

My friend has exactly the same problem. The only difference is that on my computer, after running the DSJ4 setup, the game at least loads.

Would it be possible to fix the game so that it can also run normally on AMD Radeon graphics?

Hi Jussi,
I just wanted to let you know that after the new 25H2 update, the game now launches normally, and I no longer need to run the DSJ 4 setup first. It seems that this update has introduced some fixes. Hopefully, the issue is finally resolved and not just beginner’s luck.

I have two monitors, and I'm not updating the drivers often.

You could check with RegEdit.exe whether the DSJ4 video card settings change somehow between reboots after running DSJ4 Setup.

The interesting keys are:
