DSJ4 v1.12.0 bug reports

Post by Jussi Koskela »

A lot has changed to DSJ4 v1.12.0 and it's likely that I left some bugs behind. Please report your findings and I will fix them ASAP.

My first bug report you could say is you can't pick the start list from the base World cup on ski flying competitions

I'm guessing that's not intentional, as you should be able to pick the WC start list on the first ski flying competition, and the very last competition (AKA only the top 30 in WC starts)

For the first SFWC event the WC start order will be applied automaticaly even if the SFWC starting order is chosen. I didn't know/remember that this rule should be applied also to last SFWC event. Maybe I'll have to change it. At the moment a workaround (laborous one) is to pick the participants for the last competition manually and to set the starting order to "Custom".

I think the start order is more related to the last competition being the end of the World Cup season than to the SFWC ‐ IMO it would be better implemented as an option instead of a hardcoded rule.

What would the option be?

To be able to choose either WC or SFWC start order

If I choose dates:

Season start date: 2025-11-21
Season finish date: 2026-03-22

... half of the season is on plastic - like summer grand prix.

Do you have any future update in mind that would refresh the physics or introduce a slight physics adjustment, which would require resetting the leaderboards?

I checked it out and found the problem in dates calculation. The dates for 2nd-Nth competition are calculated terribly wrong.
Bug fix will be available in 1.12.1.

If you set the dates separately for each competition there won't be any problems. And if you don't specificy the season date range or single competition dates then the current real world date will be used correctly.

No such plans currently. It would then probably be called Deluxe Ski Jump 5 already.

Vatican isn't included in the list of countries, although its flag is still here. Please add :)

I didn't have time yet to cross-check if there are any other countries missing from the old list: viewtopic.php?p=54546#p54546

On DSJ 3 Ski jump with 1.6 or 1.4 pkt per meter is a bug, where players get 1.2 pkt for 1m(Npc gets normal points). I didn't do math, but I jumped 20m further than npc and I was placed last. It happend on Austria and Estonia ski jump.

CPU players are not working on custom hills, its a major issue, and you cannot play a realistic career mode because of that.

Looks like the CPU players get wrong distance points for hills whose size is between HS185-HS199. These hills should not be considered as ski flying hills any more but for CPU players they are. Bug fix will be available in 1.12.1

Remember to download the CPU player data first: Main Menu -> Third Party Hills -> Download CPU Player Data.
You may also have to redownload them if something has changed in your setup.
